Food is good, service is good....

Food is good, service is good. This is a pick up bar, not a place for children or date night. Try the Roaring Fork very relaxing and food is so yummy!

Pick up Place

I have mixed feeling about this restaurant/bar. Wed and Thurs are their NIGHTS if you want to be seen. I like going on their off nights. Otherwise, I feel like I am at a "pick up" bar. Some of the appetizers are half priced during Happy Hour, but their regular food is very expensive.

good service, good food

excellent appetizers, a salad and an appetizer make a full meal; wait staff are very attentive;

the bar is where to be if you want action and a lot of noise; the veranda is where to get peace and quiet and a chance to talk;

Desserts are great; when I took my 9year old daughter there, the maitre d' went into the kitchen to cook up some food for her; can't do better than that

Average food, but bad crime

The food was OK enough, but my vehicle was broken in to. Their barney fife security guard was leaned up to a pole talking to the junior valet kids while low lifes were pilfering cars in the parking lot. Stay away from this place!

commercial

The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. We had reservations at 9:00 on a Tuesday night and were informed that they were running late. After finding a seat at a very vibrant and fun bar, the folks behind the bar were offering a taste of wine before we committed to a bottle.

Unfortunately the same treatment did not follow us to the table. The server(RANDY) asked a few questions and then disappeared without explanation(we noticed food arriving at his other table, but he just left). When he had time to take our order the essentials were met, but there was very litle follow up and no real concern about our experience. We normally tip by service and not the check......this evening we probably paid too much.

The food was fresh, competent and hot. It was also by formula and safe.

We are not sure if it was the size of our bill, but we felt unappreciated by the server. The unprofessional service made our evening a disappointment. We will continue to hope that more local restauranteurs can make for a more unique experience.

Absolutely Fabulous - A Must Try

Fantastic patio, great atmostphere, stellar menu and friendly service. Definitely not your typical San Antonio dining experience. The calamari appetizer is one of the best I have had, and the fresh sourdough bread is a perfect complement to their salads. However, they are huge, definitely best to split. Even if you split the 1/2 salad, you will have more than enough. The Sole is magnificent, and the sides are served family style, so everyone gets to try a little bit of everything. The desserts are fantastic, just remember that you need to order them BEFORE your dinner. Make reservations early in the week for the weekend...they book up fast.
