I used the services of Terrie Douglas a few weeks ago. I have to say I was very disappointed and didn't think she had anything correct about my horse. She described a couple of other horses that she said were trying to communicate with her. She said he didn't really want to communicate very much. She didn't pick up on any of the physical issues that I am aware of, but said stuff like his back was sore and that his saddle probably doesn't fit well. I'm pretty sure this isn't the case since, I have gone through a lot of saddles tryng to find one that he is comfortable in and he seems good with what I'm using now. She also talked for like 10 minutes about her own horse and saddle fit, which really isn't what I was paying her for, I'm already aware of saddle fitting issues. She said he didn't like the curry comb, when I can tell he does by how he responds when I'm grooming him. I asked her if he had any issues with his eyes because she was rambling on about stuff that didn't make sense to me, so I thought I would try to steer her in the right direction, and she said no issues with his eyes. A few days prior to this he had ripped his eyelid open. I contacted her in the first place because my horse had randomly started acting afraid of jump poles, when he had never stopped at anything before. I asked her how he felt about jumping and if anything had scared him, and she said no and that he enjoyed jumping. Basically, it was a complete waste of money. I've had friends use other communicators that were dead on about everything, this definitely wasn't the case here. I would look else where if you are wanting to try this.
