Absolutely the WORST experience I've EVER had at a salon. TWO stylists here (Maddie & Mia) botched my color & cut & ruined my hair, making half of it break off & fall out. I came in with a thick, full head of platinum blonde hair & left with 2-3 inches of orange roots with blue/purple tinted sides from the toner & a mullet. The stylists are uneducated about their product line & even the OWNER Alex did not know what the base of the color they were using was. And, after asking for 8 Ash permanent lowlights, the first stylist (Maddie) used 8 neutral Demi sheer color which turned my hair orange at the roots & did not grab on my platinum ends. Then the stylist Mia brought in to correct it (after I sat & waited an hour for her) used a level 9 on me after we discussed using a 7/8 Ash, which also did not grab on my ends and she was going to use a neutral toner on top of everything after seeing how orange a neutral had just turned my hair?!? Then, I asked her to trim my ends & shorten the back giving me a more Angled bob but she did the opposite & cut the front shorter than the back & she cut short botchy layers giving my hair a mullet appearance. I'm completely baffled as to why TWO stylists in a row here would completely disregard what the client asked for (especially one who has been a stylist for 22 years, so is educated in color) and let me leave in tears with an orange mullet causing me to miss an event which I specifically traveled down yo SC for & paid a lot of money for. I wasted 6 hours at this salon to leave with my hair in shambles & ruined. I'm going to have to get pricey extensions to fill in the gaps Mia cut into my hair and spend quite a bit of time trying to correct this color. The owner is not returning my calls Nor are they offering to fix it which is very upsetting. I've left 3 messages for Alex & sent numerous emails which show "read", but no one has called, emailed, texted, offered to fix my hair, offered to pay to have it fixed or anything. It's so unprofessional. The staff here is uneducated, incompetent & uncaring. Do NOT go here if you value your appearance & the condition of your hair! I've been going to Alex for five years now and everytime I get my hair done here it's been a wonderful experience. The salon is beautiful and the staff is always friendly. I never feel like I have to worry about getting a bad highlight because it always turns out better than I expected. Definitly recommend this to anyone new to the area or just looking for a great modern style.
