If you are a small party and go during a busy hour, expect to be seated an hour or two after the time estimated by the hostess. This restaurant gives priority to larger parties and your position on the wait list will never move as seats become available. The food is good but not good enough to endure the behavior of the wait staff. People think that there is something special about being treated like cattle. Do not go unless you have no other place to go.

Best Italian food in town. I have been going to cafe jordanos for 15 years. The spinach cannaloni is my favorite.

Sort of in an inconspicuous location, in a strip mall next to a Safeway store. The first clue this place is going to be good is when you walk in and see all the tables are full. It's an open area filled with tables, with some booths around the sides. Our waitress was fairly brusque but very efficient--as were all of the staff. Our drinks and food were delivered quickly. The place is pretty noisy with the open area, so this is not the place if you are looking for an intimate corner with someone special. The food, however, was great. The menu shows a great variety of Italian dishes. One could probably visit 12 times and still be trying things out. Both of our orders were delicious. The decor is utilitarian and shows its age. This is not one of those charming restored areas in an old building. However, the only real criticism I have is that our menus were slightly grimy. Nevertheless, I want to give this place 5 stars because the food is so good.

This is THE best Italian Restaurant in Denver. Reviews from varoius Denver Papers confirm this, as well as high ratings in the Zagat Survey for cost, value and Deliciousness. Try the Pollo Elegante for Luxury, and the Penne Vodka will seduce you utterly. Don't forget to order a glassof Lambrusco, most Italian places don't have it. And whatever you do, Do Not mind the wait. Seriously worth it and Oh Yes, you'll be back.
