General Info
Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital is a 105-bed treatment facility, located in Kansas City, Missouri. It is a recognized leader in individualized treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders. Continuing its tradition of excellence, Two Rivers offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare and stabilization for adolescents, children, adults and seniors. At Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital, seven disciplines work under the direction of the medical director/psychiatrist and experienced program director to facilitate comprehensive, individualized treatment. These plans may include redirecting behavioral, trauma-based, compulsive, and addictive disorders. Through its professional, multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, professional nurses, social workers, and therapists, psychological illnesses are treated as complex and interdependent. This team often utilizes a dual - or multi-problem focused approach - to effectively address behavioral, trauma-based, and addictive disorders. Team communication is facilitated by professional case managers. Relapse-prevention techniques provide patients with new skills that encourage more successful recoveries. To promote healing, significant family and referral source involvement is encouraged.
