As a retired veteran, I have Tricare. I had an ophthalmologist that checked my eyes and my copay was $50. Since Eagle Mountain Family Eye Care was closer, I thought I'd give them a try. I called and asked if they accepted Tricare. Yes they told me.

I had my appointment and the doctor told me that she would like to do a glaucoma test. Don't worry I was told, it was medical and covered by my copay. As I was leaving and made the appointment for the glaucoma test, I was asked how I wanted to pay for the $225 exam that day.

My bad. I assumed it included the glaucoma testing too. It didn't. That was another $190. I went to Tricare's website to see if any claim had been submitted by Eagle Mountain. There was none.

I felt they were more interested in selling you products/services. A used car salesman of eye care so to speak. I will find another honest ophthalmologist or go back to previous doctor.

I cannot recommend.
