I suspect five start reviews a...

I suspect five start reviews are from friends of the company. There are so many bad reviews with the same complaints that we should probably do something about it. I don't know how effective would be to complain in the BBB website, since Viking's whole sale strategy seems to be their great ratings there, but I have already done so and I encourage you to do the same.



Here is the (short version of my) story:



The sales person named Star guaranteed I would have my belongings in two weeks after moving from Houston, TX to Redmond, WA. She also said that they would pay me back 25 dollars for every day they arrive late.



On pick up day, July 11th, they arrived late at 6 PM. I had everything in boxes already, so it took them "only" four hours to load the truck. (I had already booked a hotel in Fort Worth that night, so I had to drive until 3 am).



They "estimated" that the price would almost double up because there were a few boxes more. So I demanded they weighed the truck (this ended being a good thing, because they just charged 400 more although they never showed me the official document with the weight).



Then, two weeks and a half later (on June 30th), when I contacted them, they told me that my belongings were still in a warehouse in Texas, and that it would take 17 business days to deliver to Redmond. So two weeks and 23 days later (July 23th) and they still didn't have a delivery date.



Finally, another 20 days later they delivered my belongings on August 11th.



The truck driver insisted that he needed to get a smaller truck to get into the complex where I live, and that it would cost me an extra $500, but it was only after I told him, "if you can't park it I'll do it for you" that he agreed to try, and of course he didn't have a single problem doing it.



Later, when I asked for my refund they agreed on being late, but they insist on only counting business days to calculate my refund (even though they delivered on a Saturday). Doing the math with their rules they would need to refund $375, but somehow they only acknowledge to owe $325.



I was told they would refund said amount to my card or that they would send me a check. It has been 25 days since delivery date and I still haven't received any money back from them. I call them 2 or 3 times every week and their response is always the same "I will give your message to the person responsible for claims".



I hope that the BBB can do something about it, because I am starting to think the BBB certification doesn't mean anything at all.



My family and I slept for more than 40 days in an inflatable bed, and were forced to buy things that we already own because of their tardiness.



If you complain and do nothing then you deserve what you're getting. Also, read this:

first off i have to say if you...

first off i have to say if you need a company to do it all from start to finish call Viking Moving. These guys packed our 5 bedroom house into there big truck including our car it was incredible. the major van lines were quoting us 3,000-4,000 more than Viking and that wasn't even including the car??? Viking gauranteed delivery was much quicker then theirs also! If you want an honest, cost effect alternative to the the major vanlines call Viking!
