While I was working in Florence, KY a kid came in my store trying to solicit our business. He stated that for $20.00 we could get 40 free tickets to The Funny Bone (a comedy club) in Newport, KY. I had an friend of mine make reservations to use the tickets on a Thursday night to see Chris Rocks brother who is a stand up comedian. The tickets were distributed to friends and aquintences of friends. All the couples met at the Funny Bone and went in sitting at seperate tables, but in an open general area so we might get more aquanted with eachother. As the show went on, we all ordered food and beverages and racked up quit a tab. Well as we were cashing out our tabs, everyone paid as couples. As we were cashing out our tab, people started talking about one of the people that met us there and how they got kicked out for being to loud. As my coworker cashed out he noticed his tab was much higher than he expected, come to find out the comedy club added the girls tab that got kicked out on to his and he didnt even know the girl. We asked the server to take it off and explained that he didnt know her and she took the tab off his bill. Then a group of 3 comedy club workers came up the table and said that none of us could leave the whole general area until we paid the girl that got kicked out bill! We explained that we did not know her and she was invited through other people. They didnt care and threatend to hold us there forfully if neccessary. I went ahead and paid for the womens tab and discussed this further with the managers and they stuck to their decision. So I had to pay an additional $70.00. We were threatened and told we could leave, because they kicked someone out of their establishment and didnt collect the bill from them. How can any reputable business force payment on someone that wasnt even friends with the person that got kicked out for being too loud!

I want this not to ever happen again, the time ive spent on this e-mail, and an appology from the managers there.
