I was referred to Shuler's because I needed a special type of shoe and insert. I went to the St Louis Park store. The salesman was very professional, knew exactly what I needed, measured my feet, and showed me where to find the shoes I was looking for, and made suggestions for sneakers and slippers, as well. When I had picked out another pair that would not fit the doctors criteria, he politely told me so, and added that my feet would hurt very soon after wearing them. I'm now very comfortable in my new shoes, and my feet are healing. The salesman could not have been more accommodating. I will definitely go back! It was the best service I have experienced in a shoe store in over 40 years.

I visited Schuler Shoes in Burnsville on the advice of my podiatrist. I was looking to purchase orthotic inserts, and at least one decent pair of shoes. I had deliberately waited on the decent pair of shoes until after the appointment, figuring to wait and make sure whatever the doctor suggested would work with the expensive shoes I knew I'd be needing.The salesperson looked at the informational sheet the Doc had given me, gave a vague wave toward the wall with the inserts, and ignored me. When I'd figured out (for myself) what inserts might be right, he looked pointedly at my 'bad' shoes and said 'well, you COULD try them in those...'. When I explained that I wanted to look for some better shoes he told me to look around and then ignored me some more. When I'd found two to try on, he asked 'are you ready NOW'. I've worked in full-service shoe stores, though not for some years. More effort was made to sell me on their mailing list than on any merchandise. I won't be back.
