In the past 21 months, I have had my Mercury150 HP carb to three local authorized Mercury Dealerships because I had an intermittent problem starting the motor while 10+ miles off shore several times. One dealer adjusted the timing, another replaced the stator trigger, the last one kept the boat 2 weeks and could not duplicate the problem. Although Fantasea is a Yamaha dealer a friend suggested I take my boat to Fantasea. Pat the mechanic ran some test and told me the STATOR was bad, which I suspected. I picked it up today - and - hose test, the motor cranks like it was new. I give Fantasea a 5 star rating. (The repair bill was less than I expected!)
