Alvin Animal Clinic is a full service veterinary care facility with on site radiology, pharmacy, surgery, dentistry, blood work, and microscopy. Our doctors treat cats, dogs, birds, rodents, reptiles, and goats, among others. Whether you are new to the area or have lived in Alvin all of your life, we will be happy to help you with all of your pet care needs.

I work with rescue and have six dogs of my own. In addition to my six I usually have 3 or 4 fosters at any given time. The Doctors and staff at Alvin Animal Clinic are absolutely hands down the best veterinarian group with whom I have every worked. They are compassionate and attentive. They treat ALL of my animals as if they were their own. The Doctors take time to explain treatment options and make sure I understand what is going on with my pets. I tell everyone about this clinic. They are the best.

This is the best place to take your pet if they are sick...took our 9 yr old chihuahua in for not eating..and our vet recognized the problem before she even took an x ray...everyboody there seems genuinely concerned for your pets well being and comfort..everyone is very nice..our vet was more than nice and informative and comforting..cant say enough about the staff and vet...any future problems i will not hesitate to have my pet taken care of by these trustworthy people...best veterinarian ive ever come in contact with...trusted her with my pets life and she did not let me down and went above and beyond what she could have done..very thankful to have another day with my pet and it is because of them that it is possible.
Absolute best doctors and staff. Very compassionate and caring and they actually take the time to listen to your concerns. We won't be going any where else.
We moved to Alvin from Montana and saw a different vet first - I almost lost one of my pets when they prescribed and sold me wrong syringes to go with the diabetes medecine they had changed my cat to. After a visit at the Emergency Pet Clinic I changed to the Alvin Animal Clinic - I have lots of pets cats and dogs and I have seen both doctors there. They went out of their way to make sure my pet was recovering and getting back to normal - I can call them any time during business hours with questions, they follow up on each visit with your pet to see how they are doing. The staff is friendly and caring and very knowledgeable. I trust them 100 percent to make the best choice for any of my pets.
They have a very caring staff. They were all so sympathetic when had to put my dog down. They always do what is best for the animals.
I love this animal clinic! I switched to it about 6 years ago and the doctor has made a few house calls already. The doctors have so much compassion, I can not imagine taking my animals to anyone else.
I am completely loyal to this animal clinic. I used to have another vet and when something happened to my dog they weren't available for me. When I brought him to Alvin Animal Clinic he was seen immediately! They saved his life that day and have helped my 7 other dogs since then as well. This animal hospital is by far the best I have seen, and I have a lot of experience with dogs so that is saying a lot.
I have many animals and I bring each one of them to this clinic. They know each of them by name and are always pleased to see me. The whole staff is so personable and treat each patient with so much care. I am very grateful to have such a reliable animal clinic to bring my pets to!
I was referred to this clinic after getting a new puppy. Knowing a good and trusted vet is hard to find I asked around and was told I couldn't go wrong with AAC and I wasn't disappointed. The wait time was extremely short. The staff was cheerful, helpful and sincere. Dr. West was very patient with my very long list of questions and was very reassuring. I was sweating the bill but found the charge reasonable and fair, even below what I had expected to pay. Can't say enough about my visit and looking forward to the next.....two thumbs up!
To all animal lovers, PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS PLACE. I awoke one morning to find my dog poisoned and in need of emergency help. I called this clinic which was just a few blocks away and was already open that morning, and they refused to see my critically ill AKC dog even long enough to stabilize her so that I could get her to an emergency hospital. That delay cost her any chance of survival.
Their reason for being unwilling to take even a few minutes of their time to save her life: THEY WERE GETTING READY TO KILL A LOAD OF ANIMALS FROM THE ALVIN ANIMAL SHELTER.
I am very sorry to hear of your awful experience. My sympathies on the lost of your beloved pet. Unfortunately, you have posted this review on the wrong clinic. We do not do any work for the animal shelter. We also take in all emergencies which happen during business hours, even if the pet in question has never been to our clinic before. There is another clinic in town which does work for the shelter. Due to professional courtesy, I will not list the name of that clinic here. Perhaps that is the clinic you called.
I bring my Mastiffs there, I love the staff and the Vets, they spend lots of time with my babies and give them attention. They are very kind and explain everything. I like them because they believe in Holistic as well to keep a Healthy pet. They also help me outside with my dogs if I need help..There prices are good and fair. My dogs like them alot. So do I they are caring people and don't rush you through..
Alvin Animal Clinic is a beautiful well run office that is always clean. I have always been quite impressed with the knowledgeable and experienced veterinarians and staff.
The doctors at Alvin Animal Clinic are wonderful. If they don't know the answer, they will find it for you. They are open to using supplements and other things to help your pets. They will take their time with your pet and answer all your questions. The doctors were able to help my German Shepherd with a complicated illness and keep him very comfortable.
My pets are in great health thank to Alvin Animal Clinic. I have been bringing them here for the past seven years. The practice is very clean and organized, and I really love the efficiency of the practice. David M.
I have taken 2 dogs to the Alvin Animal Clinic and have received excellent service. The staff is very professional and friendly. The vet takes the time to explain examination results and treatment options. Charges are reasonable. The clinic is clean and lighted well.
